Puppy Program

Give your pup the perfect start to life on the farm with our comprehensive Farm Dog Puppy Program. Designed for puppies 4 months to 6 months old, this two-phase board and train builds confidence, obedience, and real-world farm skills—plus includes equipment, unlimited refreshers, follow-up lessons, and lifetime support. From leash manners to livestock neutrality, we prepare your dog to be a calm, capable, and reliable farm companion.

Confidence and Foundation Program

This two-week board and train is the perfect first step for young pups beginning their farm dog journey. We focus on building confidence, establishing routine, and introducing basic on-leash obedience in a safe, structured environment. Your puppy will experience early exposure to farm life, equipment, and new settings—laying the groundwork for a calm, well-adjusted, and trainable companion.

The Program

Your dog will thrive in our trainer's home for two weeks, providing an ideal environment for focused training. Each week features a concise session, completed with tailored homework designed to enhance training results. After the program, you'll benefit from an extended go-home session and continued lessons, ensuring your dog's continued success. Once your dog is over 7 months old, they get to come back for our advanced board and train to accelerate all of their skills!​

The Benefit

Many farmers, ranchers, and equestrians face tough behavior issues with their dogs—but most of those problems can be prevented with the right start. Our two-week Puppy Confidence & Foundations Program is designed to stop unwanted behaviors before they begin by building calmness, structure, and trust early on. With personalized training and real farm exposure, we help your pup grow into a well-mannered, confident companion—ready for life by your side.

Farm Skills

During their 2-week stay, your pup will get to spend half the day out on a working barn. They will get to work on:

  • Loads of confidence-building

  • Relaxing in outdoor kennels

  • Meeting new people

  • Positive experiences with Lifestock

  • and loads more

Obedience Skills

The other half of the day includes working out at stores, parks, and in home to create a well-rounded experience! They will also learn basic on-leash obedience:​

  • Sit

  • Down

  • Loose leash walking

  • Come

  • Place

Phase 2: Offleash and Beyond

This two-phase board and train takes your pup from beginner to reliable off-leash companion—on the farm and beyond. Using clear, low-level e-collar communication, we build solid obedience, calm focus, and trustworthy behavior around distractions like livestock, equipment, and public spaces. By the end of the program, your dog will have the skills and confidence to work and relax off-leash, no matter the setting.

The Program

Your dog will thrive in our trainer's home from Monday to Friday, providing an ideal environment for focused training, while weekends will be spent at home to practice and solidify new skills. Each week features a concise go-home session, completed with tailored homework designed to enhance training results. After the program, you'll benefit from an extended go-home session and unlimited follow-up lessons, ensuring your dog's continued success. This program is in high demand and often booked out, please reach out ASAP to get placed on the calendar!

The Benefit

In the second phase of our Puppy Program, your pup builds on their foundation with advanced obedience, off-leash reliability, and e-collar communication—key skills for a trusted farm dog. This phase includes essential farm-specific training like respecting fencing and panels, staying calm around livestock, mastering place work on farm equipment, and confidently handling everyday ranch tasks. The result is a well-rounded, confident dog who listens on command and works safely and effectively across all areas of your farm.

During their 3-week stay, your pup will spend half the day at a working barn. They will get to work on:

  • Extreme neutrality around moving livestock

  • Relaxing in a kennel on busy days

  • Respecting fencing and panels

  • Not wondering away

  • Equipment safety

  • Anything specific needs

Obedience Skills

The other half of the day includes working out at stores, parks, and in the home to create a well-rounded experience! They will also learn off-leash:​​

  • Sit

  • Down: including Down in Motion

  • Heel: including Come to Heel

  • Come

  • Place

  • Entering and exiting vehicles

  • And More!
