About Farm Dog Oklahoma
Farm Dog Oklahoma was born from a shared passion for training and a desire to help dogs thrive in rural environments. It all started when Micah, a dedicated dog trainer from Tulsa, began taking riding lessons with Holly, a skilled horse trainer in Mounds, Oklahoma. As they exchanged ideas about their industries, they recognized a growing need — many dogs that accompany their owners to farms, ranches, and barns lacked the proper training to excel in those settings.
To bridge this gap, Farm Dog Oklahoma was created. Our mission is to provide tailored training programs designed specifically for dogs living and working in agricultural environments.
We combine board-and-train programs with weekly owner lessons to ensure both dogs and their handlers are equipped for success. Dogs stay in Micah's home, where they learn house manners and social skills in a family setting. During the week, they also visit All Round Equine, where they gain valuable experience around horses, livestock, and the busy dynamics of rural life.
Our unique approach allows dogs to go home on weekends, giving owners the opportunity to practice what they’ve learned while still benefiting from one-on-one guidance throughout the program.

Micah Cox
Micah Cox created Farm Dog Oklahoma when she saw a growing need — many dogs, including her dog, Zane (the inspiration behind our logo!), accompanying their owners to farms, ranches, and barns, lacked the proper training to excel. With over 10 years of experience, Micah's repetriore includes working dogs for the Kenya SPCA, vom Huas Berg German Shepherds, and Offleash K9 Training Oklahoma before venturing out on her own with Farm Dog Oklahoma. Micah is also a CGC Evaluator, an AKC Farm Dog judge, and an avid competitor in multiple disciplines both with her dog and on horses.
Micah began riding horses and spent some summers on the family ranch in Texas. She was able to ride on and off throughout high school and college, but rekindled her love of riding two years ago with All Round Equine. Now, Micah works as Trainer's Assistant to Holly at All Round Equine and is working towards competing in dressage and working equitation.
Today, Micah combines her ranching background with her training expertise, helping dogs excel in farm, ranch, and barn environments. Whether guiding working dogs or coaching loyal companions, Micah’s dedication ensures each dog reaches its full potential.
Holly Fisher
Holly is a lifelong learner, blacksmith, artist, teacher, lover of horses and dogs. She answered the call to combine her life experiences and skills in order to help horses and people. Holly believes that horses offer a truly transformative experience with every encounter.
Holly grew up riding and showing Saddlebred horses, took a break for about 25 years, and then came back strong choosing to ride Dressage. She trains weekly on DiMaestro (Sosie) her giant Hanoverian Dressage horse with USDF Gold Medalist Anthea Kin. Currently training Third Level Classical Dressage. Holly's continued studies in Dressage have been complemented by learning groundwork and round pen methods to increase communication and harmony with horses.
Holly is certified in The SPUR Model of Equine Facilitated Social Intelligence by Johnny Clark and Shannon Curry. She spent over two years apprenticing with Johnny at the Tulsa Boys’ Home. Holly has had lots of practice facilitating equine social intelligence learning sessions in collaboration with parents, licensed therapists and counselors.
Holly’s approach is a mix of traditional round pen methods and positive reinforcement (R+) training. She has done extensive research and continued studies of all things Mustang. Inspired by the W.H.I.P. Program at Florence, AZ Penitentiary and the work of Randy Helm, Holly has devoted countless hours to researching and learning about America’s Wild Horses.
Holly is constantly expanding her knowledge and abilities as a horsewoman, trainer, and teacher. She studies and rides periodically with Reining and Reined Cowhorse training professionals as well as recognized experts from around the country. The additional knowledge and perspective complements her Dressage foundation and helps her meet the needs of her students in new and effective ways.
Holly is a lover of life, a true philocalist, finding joy in all things. Holly takes the most mundane of acts and makes them lively and joyful and lives by the motto, "never take life too seriously."
Holly is married to her talented husband, Olaf Blatt, a certified journeyman farrier. Olaf has been serving the Oklahoma sporthorse community for over 25 years
